6th Grade Orientation

Welcome and congratulations on joining the class of 2020!

We will be hosting two days of “New Student Orientation”. The orientation is designed around the student. Your child will uncover the answers to the questions he/she may have, and receive information about our school resources, programs, and services. Students will be assigned their homeroom class and, by the time they leave orientation, they’ll be on their way to becoming successful M.S. 129 students.

In addition, the teachers are very excited to meet the children. We all want to make sure that the transition from elementary to middle school goes well. We will be reviewing some key ELA and math skills that the students need to know to be successful in the sixth grade.

Orientation will be held August 30th and 31st from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM. Lunch will be available in the cafeteria. It is very important that your child attend. All students and parents who attend the orientation will have the opportunity to win special prizes!

Please note that student uniform shirts will be available for purchase from Tuesday, August 29th- Thursday, August 31st from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
