Based on recommendations from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and in an abundance of caution, the New York City Department of Education is making changes for the Parent-Teacher Conferences. The following is an excerpt from the NYCDOE website:

All middle school Parent Teacher Conferences will still take place; however, parents should not attend in person. Instead, we are asking that Parent Teacher Conferences occur by phone or virtually.
If families are unable to connect during the March 12 evening conference or the March 13 afternoon conference time, schools will offer a more flexible schedule based on school and parent schedules through the rest of the month.

Please note that every family will be contacted by phone by every teacher of their child. If teachers are unable to make contact during the time scheduled for Parent-Teacher Conferences, other attempts will be made during the month of March to update parents on the academic progress of their child. Please ensure that the school has updated contact information. If you have any questions, please contact the school or via email through the school website.
