National Junior Honor Society » NJHS


The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an international student organization that consists of chapters in middle schools. The NJHS was founded by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.  Students who are inducted into the M.S. 129 Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, receive a certificate and pin, signifying membership into this international organization. The purpose of the NJHS is to encourage academic excellence, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage good citizenship in the students of secondary schools.


The NJHS adviser is Ms. S. Whyte, and Ms. S. Davis, Assistant Principal,  oversees the NJHS Chapter of M.S. 129.
