8th grade parents are invited to a meeting on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 to learn about the high school articulation process. Information will also be discussed about 8th grade "senior" activities, such as prom , trip, and graduation. Two sessions are offered: 9:30 AM or 3:30 PM. Contact Ms. Rosario of Ms. Paez if you have any questions.

The beginning of the year (BOY) iReady Diagnostic Assessments will be administered on Thursday, September 25 (ELA) and Friday, September 26 (Math). Students will be taking these assessments in their classrooms on a device provided by the school. The results of these assessments will determine the current levels of the students so the teachers understand how to best support them in class.

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the 6th Grade Orientation takes place at M.S. 129 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM. We are excited to welcome our new and returning families to middle school.

Welcome to our young kings and queens to the new school year! We are so excited for our incoming 6th graders to begin their middle school journey and for the return of our 7th and 8th graders! It's going to be an amazing year! School starts at 8:00 AM!!

Schools are closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025 in recognition of Juneteenth, when freedom came to over 250,000 slaves in Texas.

8th graders will be having their Senior Prom on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Eastwood Manor. Tickets will be distributed in the morning. Students may get picked up early to get ready for prom.

M.S. 129 families are invited to join our School Wellness Event to learn about health and wellness. Participants will learn about health snacks, sample tastings created by Chef Eddy, and take part in a Brain Power Wellness class.
